5 fruits for a cool and healthy summer











As the mercury levels are rising, we are all looking for innovative ideas to keep ourselves cool this summer. Since spending all day in airconditioned cabins is not feasible, there should be ways to keep the body cool internally. 

What better than fruits that can do just that. These five fruits will help you cool it off this season.

Watermelon: Although watermelons are recommended throughout the year, nothing beats a glass of watermelon juice or just pieces of this wonder fruit in replenishing the water levels of your body. They also contain lycopene that protects the skin from possible sun damage and helps keep the body hydrated during summer.

Peaches: Juicy fruits are a blessing during summers they make sure you keep the body hydrated. They are always known to be good for the skin, peaches also come with a healthy dose of Vitamin A and C. They are a good source of antioxidants and fibre, which improve digestion.

Oranges: Nothing can be good thirst quencher than a juicy orange. Rich in Vitamin C, and loaded with potassium, oranges contain nutrients that can help cure muscle pains and cramps that occur due to heavy workouts during summer. In fact, oranges work wonders on skin too especially keeping it clean and oil free during summer.

Kiwi: Kiwis have an equal amount of Vitamin C as compared to oranges. Since, they come in the category of exotic fruits, kiwis are a delight to the taste buds. They are one of the best fruits for summer as they have a unique cooling effect on the body and packed with Vitamin E, potassium, and fibre as well.

Palm: This is one of the fruits with the maximum water content. Although not extensively available in Mumbai, palms are the most refreshing fruits for summer. Palms are also used to make coolers for summer, due to their cooling properties. They are soft, fleshy and contain a lot of water which helps you keep it cool this season.
